All Parties Conference on Functional Municipal System was held in the City Council Hall of Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar. On this occasion, Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali issued a declaration of All Parties Conference in which he addressed various political parties of the province in Kahaka Peshawar. An important meeting of representatives (All Parties Conference) was held, chaired by Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali and Mayor Mardan Yatullah Maya. The purpose of the meeting was to take a common stand on the functionality of the municipal system in the province, the powers of public representatives, and the serious issues faced by the public. 'Common Points' 1. The meeting expresses its deep concern over the fact that the provincial government has maliciously crippled the municipal bodies and deprived elected public representatives of their fundamental constitutional and democratic powers. This practice has insulted the public mandate and Weakened the democratic system.2. The meeting also highlighted that corruption, bigotry and mismanagement have crippled the institutions in the province. This has resulted in the public problems escalating rather than solving and the government rut badly affected 3. The meeting also expresses regret over the fact that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, which had promised empowered municipalities in its manifesto, has denied its own promises. Ridicule of elected representatives, depriving the public of basic facilities and disregarding the powers. Handing over selected bureaucracy is not only injustice to the people of the province but also depriving the province of development opportunities. The meeting also brings to light the fact that the Tehsil chairmen of the integrated districts including the province, representatives of women, minorities, youth and farmers who were elected for the first time by direct public vote. But the provincial government did not provide social services to the municipal representatives on the basis of corruption. The unanimous resolution was adopted at the All Parties Conference that Together to strengthen the upcoming municipalities, a strong and empowering system will be implemented, which will not only strengthen democracy but also ensure the delivery of social services. 9. PF to local municipal governments as per the provincial budget Demand to issue grants/funds from the government as soon as possible in support of C Shares. In the 10th All Party Conference, all parties decided unanimously to reject the 2019/2013 Local Government Act and a new Act should be created with consultation of all political parties and municipalities on it. Election should be held - 11. Call for a meeting of PFC as soon as possible to transfer the money received in the debt of the provincial government NFC to the source districts of the PFC.
