Relief cheques worth millions of rupees distributed among dozens of affected families
In the past, practical aid was provided to the victims of rain and flood and recently delivered all kinds of aid to hundreds of affected families at their doorstep, Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali
Peshawar Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali distributed aid checks among the people affected by rains and floods. He says that the flood victims were not left alone earlier and will not let them be alone in the future, for 61 affected families by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Grateful to them for distributing relief money worth lakhs of rupees by cheque. They expressed these thoughts yesterday during the cheque distribution ceremony held at City Council Hall for flood victims on the occasion of Labor Day and afterwards interacting with media representatives. The occasion was attended by 61 affected families coming from the suburbs of the city including Chairman of MPA Ijaz Khan Shah Alam, City Council members and others. Aid sent by Governor Haji Ghulam Ali for the victims. Chek Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali handed over to the concerned persons. During his speech to the event and talking to the media, he had to say that, surely, most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the suburbs of the provincial capital Peshawar, like in the past, this year will also face devastating rains and Severely affected by the floods that left hundreds and thousands of families stranded their lives on a standstill. He said it was because of the support from the Capital Metropolitan Government and the province’s business community and friends, including personal status, that we have Keeping the traditions of the past, applauded these affected families and extended their full support to them with all kinds of essential items. They said that each one reached home personally and they were given rations for three consecutive days. All essential items, including beds, continue to be handed over. He said that today, on the occasion of Labor Day, I am handing over this aid to the families of flood-affected poor laborers from the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, for whom I am extremely grateful to the Governor. Released funds on priority basis for the poor and working class of Peshawar with timely practical cooperation. Mayor said that we have selected categories of those who are praiseworthy for today's Labor Day, to alleviate their feeling of deprivation. Relief cheques were distributed today. Cheques ranging from Rs ten thousand to Rs twenty thousand have been distributed among these eight families. The families who attended the event and received the cheques thanked the Mayor and the Governor. Pray for them while doing so. The victims said that we hoped that the provincial government would applaud us but were disappointed that it could not happen. However, the way the City Metropolitan Government and especially the Mayor of Peshawar and Governor saddened us at this moment of sorrow. We will never forget those who supported us.
